  • PRODUCT FAQ

    Q. I am not a planner, so how can your planner help me?
    A.
The Well Planned Day was designed with the diversity of being used either as a planner or a recorder. The best way to help you successfully homeschool is to set goals for each subject. Once those goals are determined and you decide on a daily schedule, simply record your student's work as they progress. This is a helpful way to keep you on track. In the end, you will have obtained your goals and achieved academic success.

    Q. Can I use this planner year-round?
    A.
Yes, the Well Planned Day is a full 52 week planner. Whether you homeschool year round, or not, our planner begins in July and ends in June, allowing families to utilize the home managment sections all year long!

    Q. How many students can your planner hold?
    A.
The Well Planned Day can hold between 1 and 4 students. There are 4 copies of each individual form(s) and space to record up to four students in the collective areas.

    Q. How do I utilize the chore and assignment charts?
    A.
We have included a single page of perforated chore and assignment charts. You may laminate and use with dry erase markers, or you may make copies for your family's use.

    Q. What is the difference between the teacher and student schedules?
    A.
We recommend using the teacher schedule as an overall itinerary for your school year. Charting both a daily and hourly schedule can help families in deciding if they have overscheduled on a particular day and give parents the bigger picture of what a week looks like.

The students schedules are useful in assigning specific work for individual students. Example: Student 1 takes piano, therefore needs a time for piano practice. Whereas, student 2 may be developing his/her cooking skills and needs allocated time for practicing. With the diversity of activities that today's family are involved in, student schedules help maintain order and clear direction.

    Q. What version of catechisms do you use?
    A.
The Well Planned Day uses the Westminster Shorter Catechism. Each week we include a catechism, proof text for memorization and a quote that relates.

    Q. How do I fit my student(s) within each subject?
    A.
There are four lines for each of the five core subjects. We have also included an additional seven lines per day. These additional lines can be used for expanding the English subject (Spelling, Vocabulary, etc.) or these spaces may be used for electives.

    Suggestion for 1 Student
Use up to four lines per subject. Blocks can be used for checking off completed, or recording grades.

    Suggestion for 2 Students
Each student can use up to two lines per subject. Use one block to check off completed and the other block for grading.

    Suggestion for 3 Students
Each student can use one line per subject, and the fourth line for group activities. Use one block to check off completed or for grading

    Suggestion for 4 Students
Each student can use one line per subject. Use the corresponding block for checking off completed or for grading.

    Suggestion for 5 Students
Although the Well Planned Day is recommended for 4 students, if you are homeschooling a preschooler or kindergartener, you could use the bottom three lines to plan or record.

    Q. How do I use the Progress Reports?
    A.
During the semester, be sure to use the blocks on the weekly 2 page spreads to record grades. At the end of the semester, average each week and record the grade in the corresponding dated space.
